Netflix launched the spin-off to the popular series Vikings with Vikings Valhalla. So far, three seasons have been released. Is there a possibility of a Season 4?
Following the huge success of Vikings, Netflix introduced Vikings: Valhalla as a spin-off series, which currently comprises three seasons. The series is just as bloody as the original and follows the adventures of Harald, Frida, and Leif, loosely based on historical events and figures. Are there plans for a 4th Season?
Vikings Valhalla Season 4: How likely is a Sequel?
Fans of Vikings Valhalla shouldn’t get their hopes up too much, as a fourth season of the Viking series is highly unlikely. Valhalla was designed by Netflix from the outset for three seasons. The streaming service directly ordered 24 episodes, divided into three seasons – an extension is not planned.
Although the story of Harald, Frida, and Leif reached a satisfying conclusion, series creator Jeb Stuart had hoped to produce a fourth season. He had ideas for additional seasons, as he mentioned in interviews repeatedly – not just one, but three more seasons. However, due to the lack of audience interest, he couldn’t implement these ideas.

The Story of Vikings Valhalla
The show is set in the early 11th century and tells the Vinland Saga with the legendary Vikings: Leif Eriksson, son of Erik the Red, his sister Freydís Eiríksdóttir, and Harald Hardråde, who later became the king of Norway.
Leif Eriksson, similar to Ragnar, seeks a new way westward in hopes of new land and wealth for his Nordic people. The plot not only focuses on the power struggles of the Nordic countries but also on Eriksson’s perilous journey through difficult waters and violent upheavals. Eriksson is also considered the discoverer of America, 400 years before Christopher Columbus.
