The green light for Season 3 of the anime series Tsukimichi has already been given – but when exactly will it continue?
The anime Tsukimichi is based on the light novel series of the same name and premiered in the summer of 2021. In the US, you can stream the first two seasons on Crunchyroll. A third season has been officially confirmed, but fans are still waiting for its release.
What is Tsukimichi about?
Makoto Misumi, an ordinary high school student, is suddenly summoned by the moon god Tsukuyomi to another world. The goddess of that world demands that he fulfill his part of an old promise. However, instead of welcoming him as a hero, she rejects him because of his appearance. Other, supposedly more worthy individuals are chosen for that role instead.
Makoto only receives the ability to communicate with non-human beings and is banished to the edge of this new world. Left on his own, he must now find his own path in a world full of dangerous creatures – including dragons, orcs, dwarves, and many other mystical beings.
When is Tsukimichi Season 3 coming?
The first season aired from July to September 2021, followed by the second season from January to June 2024. Since then, there’s been silence. Although Tsukimichi Season 3 was officially confirmed in the summer of 2024, there’s still no concrete release date.
Fans will have to remain patient for now. As soon as new information or a release date is announced, this article will, of course, be updated. Until then, it’s worth checking out the original light novel series, which is already far ahead of the anime in terms of story.
