The Others (2001)

Sinister (2012)
Sinister is a movie like The Conjuring that must not be missing from our list. In search of inspiration for his new book, crime writer Ellison Oswalt moves with his wife Tracy and children to a house where a family was brutally murdered years ago. In the attic, he finds a box of old films that seemingly document a gruesome series of murders. Ellison begins to investigate on his own and soon becomes fearful as eerie incidents suddenly escalate.
