The anime Tengoku Daimakyou, also known as Heavenly Delusion, is based on the manga of the same name and premiered in Japan in April 2023. Disney Plus secured the streaming rights in advance, allowing international fans to enjoy the series as well. The first season consists of 13 episodes and is fully available on Disney Plus. Will There Be a Season 2 of Tengoku Daimakyou?
Tengoku Daimakyou has captivated many fans with its thrilling storyline. After the season finale in June 2023, the question on everyone’s mind is when the story will continue. Unfortunately, there has been no official confirmation or release date for a second season.
However, the lack of an announcement isn’t necessarily a bad sign. The first season only recently wrapped up a few months ago, and the original manga provides ample material for a continuation. The Storyline of Tengoku Daimakyou
The story is set in a world devastated by a catastrophe 15 years ago. Dangerous, man-eating monsters now roam the lands, posing a threat to the few survivors. In a secluded facility, however, children are raised in peace, unaware of the world outside. But as some of them learn about life beyond their confined walls, their curiosity begins to grow.
Meanwhile, in the outside world, two young survivors, Maru and Kiruko, team up. Both are searching for a mysterious place called “Heaven.” Carrying their own tragic pasts, they hope to find answers to the suffering and horrors they and the world around them have endured.
