Since its premiere, the science fiction anime Takt Op. Destiny has won over many fans and quickly built a loyal following. But what’s the outlook for Season 2?
In the world of Takt Op. Destiny, alien creatures that devour music have left the United States in ruins. Yet there’s hope: conductors join forces with so-called Musicart – young women gifted with supernatural powers – to fight back. At the center of the story are Takt, a talented conductor, and Destiny, a Musicart who travels with him to New York to face their destiny.
The first season aired from October to December 2021 and was well received. On the platform MyAnimeList, it holds a solid rating of 7.15 out of 10, based on over 220,000 votes. Despite this success, there’s currently no word on whether a continuation is in the works.
No News Yet About Season 2 of Takt Op. Destiny
So far, there’s been no official announcement regarding a second season – meaning there’s no release date either. Fans hoping for new episodes will need to remain patient. At this point, it’s unclear whether the anime will even continue.
One possible reason: Takt Op. Destiny is based on a video game. Some fans speculate that the anime was primarily created as a promotional tool and that a second season was never actually planned. Unlike many other series, this one doesn’t have a manga or light novel as source material, which makes a continuation even more uncertain.
We’ll keep you posted. If any new episodes are officially announced, we’ll update this article. Until then, you can revisit the first season on Crunchyroll – the platform offers a seven-day free trial to get you started.
