After the thrilling finale of the second season, many fans are naturally asking: When will Solo Leveling finally continue? Here’s what we know so far about a possible Season 3.
Solo Leveling is without a doubt one of the most successful new anime of recent years. The first season of the adaptation of the popular manhwa was released at the beginning of 2024, and just one year later the second followed. Recently, the finale of season 2 aired, once again exciting the fan community. Since then, the suspense has been growing around the question: Will there be Solo Leveling season 3 – and if so, when?
Bad news for fans
Anyone who thinks that after two successful seasons the story will immediately continue might be disappointed. In an interview with Crunchyroll, the producer of the anime was rather cautious and cast doubt on a quick sequel:
“With episode 25 the TV anime series Solo Leveling will, for the time being, come to an end. Whether this ending is only temporary or not, I honestly cannot say. With the support of the viewers, it might continue – but maybe not.”
How realistic is season 3?
At first, the statements sound discouraging. However, a continuation doesn’t seem completely ruled out, since Solo Leveling was a worldwide success. There are no official streaming numbers, but the response speaks for itself: scenes from the second season were viewed millions of times on YouTube.
Still, an early start is unlikely. Since season 3 has not yet been confirmed, we can only speculate. A release before 2026 seems very unlikely, and the continuation might even take until 2027.
If you want to bridge the waiting time, you can turn to the manhwa. The story is already fully told there and came to an end in 2021. The second season of the anime covers the story up to chapter 107, which can be found in volume eight.
