In Record of Ragnarok, humans and gods face off in epic arena battles. Two seasons of the popular anime series are already available on Netflix – but when will Season 3 arrive?
The story follows the Council of Gods, who decide to wipe out humanity. However, the valkyrie Brunhilde intervenes and secures one last chance for humankind: a tournament consisting of 13 battles between gods and extraordinary mortals will determine humanity’s fate.
To survive, humans must win seven fights – with the support of valkyries who form special bonds with them. Even Zeus himself enters the arena, and the first battle pits Thor against a famous Chinese war hero. But Brunhilde has her own secret plans.
When Will Record of Ragnarok Season 3 Be Released?
The final episodes of Season 2 premiered on Netflix in July 2023. So far, Buddha has secured a crucial victory for humanity, bringing the current score to a tie at 3-3. However, to avoid total destruction, humans still need four more wins.
Netflix has not yet officially announced Record of Ragnarok Season 3. However, chances for a renewal are high: the manga has not yet been fully adapted, and the series remains very popular among fans. Still, new episodes are unlikely to be released before 2025.
If you can’t wait until Season 3 and want to know how the story continues, diving into the manga by Shinya Umemura and Takumi Fukui is a great option. The series already spans over 20 volumes. To pick up where Season 2 left off, start with Chapter 54, which is included in Volume 14.
