Lucifer has been unexpectedly renewed multiple times and is currently at six seasons. Is there still a chance for a Season 7?
Lucifer Morningstar, the rebellious angel, is weary of his role as the Prince of Hell and has settled as a nightclub owner in Los Angeles. However, peace doesn’t last long as he soon finds himself solving intricate criminal cases with Detective Chloe, and encountering some old acquaintances reluctantly on Earth.
Originally slated to end after three seasons, Lucifer was suddenly extended. The new conclusion was planned for Season 5, which was then expanded from 10 to 16 episodes and followed by an additional season. However, since September 2021, there has been no news about Lucifer. Is a Season 7 still possible?
Lucifer Season 7: Is a continuation in the works?
Lucifer premiered on Fox in August 2016 and was extended for two more seasons in the following years. After initially concluding with three seasons in May 2018, Netflix took over the series in June 2018 and granted it three more seasons.
In Germany, Lucifer is available on Amazon Prime Video. The sixth and so far the final season aired in September 2021. It is unlikely that there will be a seventh season, as revealed by the showrunners in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. The sixth season received the ending they had envisioned from the beginning.
What alternatives to Lucifer are there?

Blacklist
Raymond Reddington, one of the country’s most-wanted criminals, voluntarily surrenders at the FBI headquarters in Washington D.C. and offers his cooperation. He promises the FBI information about previously unknown criminals collected over the years on his “Blacklist” in exchange for a meeting with aspiring agent Elizabeth Keen, whom he has his eye on.
