Lookism is about an unattractive loner who one day wakes up in the body of a handsome boy. When will Netflix air the 2nd Season of the anime series?
Based on the eponymous Manhwa (South Korean manga) by Park Tae-joon, Studio Mir produced the anime series Lookism. The first season was released on Netflix in winter 2022, consisting of eight episodes. The relatively short length of the first season has left fans eagerly awaiting a continuation. But when will Season 2 come to the streaming service?
At the current time, it is unclear if and when a 2nd season will be released. Neither the streaming giant Netflix nor Studio Mir have commented on new episodes thus far.
However, the comic book source material provides enough material for another season. To date, 19 volumes have been published in South Korea, and author and illustrator Park Tae-joon has been working on Lookism since November 2014 with no end in sight. This speaks to the ongoing success of the original work and hopefully signals the return of the anime with Season 2 soon.

Synopsis of the Netflix anime
Park Hyung-Seok has been bullied and mocked his whole life because he is small, unattractive, and overweight. To escape his worst bully, he asks his mother to change schools. After some initial difficulties, he moves into a small apartment in Seoul and attends the modern Jae Won High School, known for its liberal education system and carefree students.
However, on his first day in Seoul, things go awry: he is beaten up by Lee Jin Sung and becomes known as a “little fat pig” on the internet. Under these circumstances, he cannot go to school! After crying himself to sleep and cursing his life, Hyung-Seok suddenly wakes up in a new, much more attractive body. Does this offer a chance for a better life or will the past catch up with him?
