Yūji leads a typical high school life until his friend is suddenly attacked by dangerous curses. To save him, Yūji swallows the finger of the powerful demon Sukuna and begins to share his body with him. Afterward, he joins the Jujutsu Academy to fight these curses. Thus begins the journey of a boy who becomes a curse himself to defeat other curses.
The original Jujutsu Kaisen manga has been running in Japan since 2018, with the anime adaptation following about two years later. In late 2021, the prequel movie Jujutsu Kaisen 0 was added, and in mid-2023, the second season was released, concluding a few months later. Now fans are wondering when Season 3 will finally arrive.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 officially confirmed
It’s certain that Jujutsu Kaisen will get a third season: The creators confirmed this in winter 2023 on X (formerly Twitter), shortly after the finale of the second season. It’s already confirmed that the story of Yūji and his friends will continue with the adaptation of the “Itadori’s Extermination” and “Perfect Preparation” arcs.
Release date for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3
The exact release date for Season 3 hasn’t been announced yet by Studio MAPPA. There were about three years between the first and second seasons, though a movie was released in between. So, it’s likely that Season 3 will premiere sometime in 2026.
