Violet Evergarden: This is the Story
The anime tells the story of an orphaned girl. There is war in the land: a naval officer discovers a young girl threatened by soldiers trying to rape her. But she knows how to defend herself, and in a frenzy, she kills one soldier after another. She grows up with Gilbert, the officer’s brother, who raises the young woman as his own daughter.
Even during the war, Violet can contribute. However, with the end of the battle, she also loses Gilbert and doesn’t know what to do with herself without the war. Violet is looking for a new purpose and is supposed to find it at the CH Postal Company. The company helps those who cannot write by composing letters to express their feelings. Violet also sets out on this journey to rediscover herself.
