Food Wars! tells the story of Yukihira Sōma, a determined young chef who is set on surpassing his father’s culinary achievements. To pursue his dream, he enrolls in one of Japan’s most challenging culinary schools, where only ten percent of the students pass the final exam. So far, we’ve followed Sōma’s adventures across five seasons. But what about the possibility of a 6th season?
Will there be Season 6 of Food Wars!?
A continuation of Food Wars! is highly unlikely. Even before the 5th season aired, the producers at Studio J.C. Staff confirmed that it would serve as the series finale. It is therefore improbable that the anime will return, whether as a new season, a movie, or a special episode.
Another reason lies in the source material: the manga by Yūto Tsukuda and Shun Saeki has already been fully adapted. The final chapter was published in June 2019, while the last season of the anime premiered in April 2020.
