After the emotional finale of season three, fans are wondering: Will there be Season 4 of Dead to Me?
The series begins with a tragic event: Jen’s husband, the father of their two children, dies in a hit-and-run accident. Jen reacts to the loss with bitterness and sarcasm, struggling with the fact that the culprit remains unidentified.
In a grief support group, she meets Judy, a free-spirited and spiritual woman who is also dealing with a loss and works in a care home. Despite their differences, the two women form a close friendship – a bond that is repeatedly tested by Judy’s many secrets.

The End of Dead to Me: Why There Won’t Be a Season 4
Season three brings Dead to Me to a dramatic conclusion, and it’s clear the story has been wrapped up. In fact, it has been confirmed that the show will not continue.
Back in 2020, Christina Applegate, the series’ lead actress and producer, explained: ‘We felt this was the best way to conclude the story of these two women.’ Series creator Liz Feldman also shared her thoughts: ‘Dead to Me is exactly the show I wanted to create – a story about grief and loss. It challenged me as an artist and healed me as a person.’
While it’s disappointing to say goodbye to the series, there are plenty of great alternatives to explore. Why not check out Little Fires Everywhere or Good Girls and Firefly Lane?
