For three seasons, the German Netflix original Dark captivated its fans. Is the series concluded, or can we anticipate a 4th season on the streaming service?
On June 27, 2020, the 3rd season of Dark premiered on Netflix. Not a random date, as it coincided with the apocalypse in the series’ world on the same day. In eight one-hour episodes, viewers could once again time-travel with the protagonists. Following the season finale, the immediate question arose: Will there be a Season 4?
No plans for Dark Season 4
Unfortunately, we have to disappoint you: Dark Season 4 is unlikely to happen. The reason: Even before the premiere, Netflix promoted Season 3 as the final season. Continuing the story is not the intention of the creators.
With the conclusion of Season 3, Netflix brought the series to a satisfying end. This is evident when examining the course of the season finale. The question arises, what more could be told in a continuation. If you wish, you can explore the Behind the Scenes of the series on YouTube:
