In November 2023, the moment fans had been waiting for finally arrived: the last episode of Attack on Titan aired on Japanese television and on Crunchyroll. After more than ten years, the adventures of Eren and his friends came to an end.
Will there be an Attack on Titan Season 5?
Studio MAPPA, which handled the production of the fourth season, gave the series a fitting conclusion. The major mysteries that had built up over the course of the story were resolved, and the final episode left very few questions unanswered.
It was announced in advance that the fourth season would be the last. As a result, it’s highly unlikely that there will be a fifth season. The anime has fully adapted the Hajime Isayama manga, leaving no more material to use for another season.
New Manga Chapter to Expand the Story
The Attack on Titan manga was completed back in June 2021. However, over two years later, there’s exciting news: mangaka Hajime Isayama has unexpectedly announced the release of an artbook, which will include a collection of drawings as well as an 18-page manga chapter titled “Attack on Titan Vol. 35.”
The artbook will be released in Japan on April 30, 2024. It’s unclear when or if it will be available in other regions. Fans are speculating that the new chapter could either offer an alternative ending or continue the story. It might also delve deeper into the life of Levi Ackerman, one of the main characters of the series.
