The final episode of the beloved anime classic Angel Beats! aired quite some time ago. But how likely is it that the series will be continued with Season 2?
In Angel Beats!, the young Otonashi wakes up on the grounds of a mysterious school. There, he meets Yuri, who explains to him that he has died and is now in a limbo-like world between life and death. To avoid disappearing forever, he joins a rebel group and becomes part of a massive war.
The anime, based on the light novel of the same name, premiered in Japan in 2010 and made its way to German television three years later. Since then, however, things have been quiet around the series. Does this mean a second season is off the table?
